2012 Women’s Chowder Cup

You are cordially invited to attend the 6th Annual Atlantic Canadians Women’s Chowder Cup Talent Assessment Camp, organized in conjunction with the Power Play Hockey Clinics, to take place at the Red Ball Internet 4-Ice Centre in Moncton, New Brunswick July 20 – 22, 2012.

The Atlantic Canadians, under the leadership of Allan Power (current Atlantic regional scout for the Toronto Maple Leafs and former Director of Hockey Operations for the Moncton Wildcats of the Q.M.J.H.L.), has successfully competed in the Boys Junior Aged Chowder Cup for the past 27 years.

The talent assessment camp will offer top Midget, Prep School, and University players aged 19 and younger (1993 birthdates and younger) from the Atlantic Region the opportunity to present their talents while participating in 5 games and one practice.

The purpose of the Assessment Camp is to select two teams (one ‘Experienced’ & one ‘Developmental’) to compete in the 2012 Angela Ruggerio Women’s Chowder Cup in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A July 26 – 29. The 8th annual Women’s Chowder Cup in Boston will be attended by more than 60 teams from the North-Eastern United States, Quebec and Ontario, as well as our own Atlantic Canadians Hockey Club. The past editions of the Atlantic Canadians have competed well against Division 1 American University players and U.S.A. Olympians.

A nominal fee of $280.00 (plus 13% HST) to cover ice time, jerseys, officials, etc. and other related expenses must be forwarded by July 1st. Payment plans can be arranged upon request. You are responsible for your accommodations while attending this camp.  We can supply information for the Université de Moncton and the Atlantic Baptist University residences as well as local hotel contacts upon request.

Please note all players will require a passport to enter into the United States. The following website®ion=Canada will help you with more information.

Respectfully yours,
John Bryden
